The Observatoire sur la réussite en enseignement supérieur is proud to launch Relais. the popular scientific journal on success in higher education. This new journal aims to foster a better understanding of the realities and issues related to success by facilitating access to scientific data. Intended for those who are involved with higher education institutions, Relais strengthens the link between research and practice.

Relais features short articles written by researchers in college and university institutions or research organizations from the province of Québec or abroad. The articles are accessible summaries of scientific research. Using clear and precise language, they highlight key messages and courses of action to facilitate their appropriation in various environments.

Published around eight times a year, Relais is intended for anyone who is interested in success in higher education. More specifically, the journal is aimed at professional staff, faculty members and administrators in college and university institutions.

First Two Articles Published

Entitled Black Students’ Voices on Social Relations of Race in Québec Universities, the first article is signed by Marie-Odile Magnan (Université de Montréal). The second article, proposed by Emilie Doutreloux (Université Laval), looks at barriers to accessing college education for allophones from recent immigrant backgrounds.

These first two articles are linked to ORES’ most recent thematic dossier: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI): At the Heart of Student Success.
