On November 27th, 2024, the Observatoire sur la réussite en enseignement supérieur (ORES) is hosting a webinar aimed at discussing the conditions that support student success, the challenges still faced by institutions, and promising avenues for overcoming them.

L’Observatoire sur la réussite en enseignement supérieur (ORES) and the Carrefour de la réussite au collégial come together to present the Rendez-vous de la réussite 2024.

ORES held a symposium during the 91st ACFAS Congress. The conference aimed to address financial access to education in view of various conditions meant to promote student success, highlighting complementary themes from both scientific knowledge and experiential insights. Dialogue between researchers and practitioners was central to the conference.

This webinar aimed to better understand the importance of obtaining support in the search for funding for graduate students, and to provide advice and tools for effectively initiating and completing the scholarship application process.

This webinar provided a better understanding of the phenomenon of student debt and its impact on student success in addition to identifying strategies for more effective student support.

On October 26, the Observatoire sur la réussite en enseignement supérieur (ORES) launched the thematic dossier entitled Financial Access to Education: What are the Conditions for Student Success? Available to all those interested in this topical issue, the launch was an opportunity to present the dossier’s main findings.

Intended to all those involved in the education sector, the activity explored the importance of supporting students in their postsecondary and inter-level transitions. On this occasion, two internationally renowned experts, Laurie A. Schreiner and Mikaël De Clercq, each gave a lecture on their view of transitions in higher education.
