The Observatoire sur la réussite en enseignement supérieur (ORES) is pleased to introduce the members of its 2024-2025 Steering and Mobilization Committees!
These committees play a vital role in the development of the Observatory. This year, they bring together 29 people from nine regions of Québec and 26 institutions or organizations. The richness of their expertise, representing a wide variety of perspectives, will undoubtedly enhance the reflections and projects undertaken by ORES.
Steering Committee
The Steering Committee plays an advisory role. Its members guide management on the issues to prioritize in the development and work of the Observatory. The discussions within the committee ensure that ORES’ actions are properly aligned with the concerns and needs of post-secondary education stakeholders.
The Committee currently comprises 21 members. Some hold a position on behalf of their institution; others hold a position in their own name.
In 2024-2025, following a call for applications, three new members were appointed:
• Isabelle Bouchard Teacher of Philosophy at the Cégep de Trois-Rivières
• Alexandre Côté Teacher and Psychology Researcher at Collège Laflèche and Université de Sherbrooke
• Isabelle Vachon Sociology Teacher and Researcher at the Cégep de l’Abitibi-Témiscamingue
Two institutional positions are reserved for student associations. This year, ORES welcomes two new members:
• Clémentine Bergeron-Isabelle College Affairs Coordinator at the Fédération étudiante collégiale du Québec
• Étienne Paré President of the Quebec Student Union
Created in the fall of 2023, the Mobilization Committee’s mandate is to support ORES in its mobilization and knowledge transfer activities. Its members contribute to the knowledge mobilization plan by providing concrete evidence of community needs. They guide the Observatory’s team in the development of activities and tools, their implementation and their evaluation.
